We have well equipped workshops in both Queensland and New South Wales, Australia which enable us to provide gearbox and transmission unit maintenance for clients in all corners of the country.

NSW Workshop

• 10 ton overhead crane
• Parts cleaner with 2 ton capacity
• 20/50 & 100 ton hydraulic presses
• Induction heater (largest available) for fitting of bearings and gears
• Variable speed test motor
• Hydraulic test facilities
• Access to local machining facilities
• Ability to facilitate the manufacture of gears working with recognised Australian market leaders
• Facilitation of re-metalising
• 2300 sq. m. facility – located in Beresfield at the start of the freeway to Sydney.

QLD Workshop

• 10 ton overhead crane
• Turbowash TW4 with 1 ton capacity
• 30 & 100 ton hydraulic presses
• Large induction heater for fitting of bearings and gears
• Variable speed test motor
• Hydraulic oil injection unit
• Access to local machining facilities
• Ability to facilitate the manufacture of gears working with recognized Australian market leaders
• Facilitation of metalising and Lazer Cladding
• 850 sq. m. facility – located in Paget.

When Geared Engineering decided it was time to upgrade to a bigger facility the choice of location was easy: Beresfield. The proximity to many of our mining clients, combined with the ease of access to major transport routes, made a new workshop in the Freeway Business Park an ideal choice.

In 2016 with the changes and growth in maintenance requirements in the Queensland mining sector we partnered with an expert team in Mackay to open a workshop closer to the new mining and heavy industry clients that are increasingly seeking out the assistance of Geared Engineering as a specialist provider for power transmission units.

Our engineering facilities are specifically designed to make it possible to meet our promise of ‘Rapid and Reliable Gearbox Repairs’.

Geared Engineering in both locations is surrounded by a range of mining and engineering service businesses who provide crucial maintenance, construction, fabrication and design to the Hunter Valley mining industry.

We have a readily available, well educated, experienced workforce drawn from the local regions of Newcastle, Port Stephens, Lake Macquarie and the Central Coast in NSW and Mackay, Rockhampton and Townsville in Qld. Our team has grown in numbers and experience in order to provide the complete solutions our clients require.
